People get out of parked cars, not cars in lanes (other than taxis, which you do need to watch out for, but they need to stop, settle up, you'll see movement inside, etc. so there's warning). It looks like chaos, but it's (mostly) very predictable.

No, it's not that bad - I've ridden in worse in Manhattan. First, the wide angle camera makes spaces look tighter - he didn't get squeezed that badly. Second, with heavy traffic, cars are more predictable because there's less room to move - you really only need to be cognizant of when a gap opens up and who can/will move in to said gap. It's actually less stressful than free-flowing traffic.
You just gotta always make sure they can see you, don’t linger in the blind spots. In heavy traffic you can actually make better time than them.

That's complicated, I want to use it as a spare for my CAAD12 if i ever get it back. It has to be modified from 9 speed to 11 speed then i will prolly buy a cheapish (surprise) 28 tire to put on it since the CAAD12 can accept a 28.
Yes, i pushed that a bit far. I think i have 1000 miles on it since the cords began to show. Last night i got paranoid and cut my ride short because i was sure it was going to blow. I vowed to change it and i swapped it with my spare wheel. As said above, this wheel will be my spare for the new bike. I think I have close to 6000 miles on that tire which is insane. It is a $25 performance tire.

I may have mentioned this but there is a 4000 foot high hill right behind the house here and hang gliders launch from there and they have a little airport for them to land down low. It has wind socks, a big grassy area, and a graded flat area in case the grass isn't big enough. It also has rest rooms and parking but I don't know who pays for it.

When I lived in Anchorage, there was a mountain behind my house, and hang gliders would launch there. The wind would flow up the face of the mountain in such a way the hang gliders would just float in one place right above the mountain for hours.
