Flatbar converted gravel bike
So I think this has been discussed a few times but I have a more specific question. If I was to convert, say, a Jamis Renegade, to flatbar, how would that feel on very mild single track? I've read that the geo won't be ideal but I'm curious how twitchy it will be in real life.
Or am I just peeing in the wind and would be better off getting a hardtail?

FWIW I recently put flat bars back on my Cross Check, and that's probably even less "ideal" geo-wise than the Renegade. It's super fun to ride off-road wit flat bars, and of course quite a different feel from a hardtail mtb. I put a slightly longer stem on, and it handles great.
