Italian MTB shoes - Sidi and Gaerne

A couple pairs of shoes here that I don't need. Preference will go to anyone who wants both, which I realize is unlikely since they fit differently, but still....

First up is a pair Sidi Dominator mtb shoes, black, size 46. I bought these used to try out Sidi but they were too small so I've never used them. For reference, I bought them as a 46 but can't find a size marked anywhere. I generally wear a 45.5 or 46 in Pearl Izumi, Shimano, Lake, etc. and these are a little tight. Please note that the cleats shows in the pics are not included. - $55 shipped, or make an offer

Adding a pair do Gaerne G.Sincro+ mtb shoes in size 45.5. These are also a little tighter that I like so I never actually used them. These are apparently $500 shoes originally but can be had for half that now. This pair is in good shape, no tears or rips or anything like that, just some signs of regular use, including some scuffing on the carbon soles. More info can be found here https://www.gizmocycling.com/Carbon-...-p/17-5300.htm - $100 shipped, or make an offer

Next is a pair of Avocet Cross M40, size 12. I bought these for Eroica and rode them on the long route and they were surprisingly comfortable. When I started the ride the were completely intact but by the end the soles on both shoes had mostly peeled off. They're about 75% loose now and will need to be reglued. These don't seem to show up that often in bigger sizes so hopefully someone here can use them. - Free for the cost of shipping *****CLAIMED*****

Are the Avocets a true 12? I'm interested, but concerned they would be too big. I usually wear a 43 Euro or about 10 US. Thanks...

EDIT: I see gaucho777 is interested below, so I'll drop off...

I would say they're a true 11.5 - 12. I'm usually an 11.5 and they fit me pretty well. I think they would be too big if you're normally a 43.

noobinsf I didn't mean to jump in your way. You had first dibs, but it did seem like maybe they weren't the right size.

brockd15 *If* I end up with these, and they don't fit, I'll be glad to pass them on to another forum member as you are doing generously. I'm usually size 11 (euro 45-45.5). Hopefully these will be close enough.

No sweat! I was poking in as a curiosity, and I just wanted to make clear that I did not want the seller to prioritize my query over yours, since you seemed pretty serious. But yes, they're too big for me anyway.

Avocet Touring Shoes

We brought some Avocet "Touring" shoes into the shop when they first came out in the late 70's. I grabbed a pair of size 45s (10 1/2 EEE) for my self. They sat new in a box until 1992 when I started riding seriously again. They were some of the most comfortable riding shoes I've ever worn.

I rode them until they literally fell apart in 2008. Avocet offered a variety of shoes like these BITD. @brockd15 shoes look to be a later version of my shoes.

To digress, I bought a pair of Adidas Eddy Merckx shoes when they first came out in 1974. They were my road shoes for years. Still have em,

I used Adidas "Tabac" shoes for off rode riding until I switched to the Avocet Touring shoes in 1992.

In 2007 I found these Specialized Sonoma shoes. They have SPD attachment points and are very wide in the toe box but I had to get size 46 for a comfortable fit. They're about 20mm (3/4") too long.

I kept shopping around for some Goldilocks shoes and found these Shimano touring shoes in 2015. Better fit than even street shoes. They were starting to show some wear and i lucked out and found a NIB set on eBay last month.
