Shimano Deore MT-60 RD Question

Was wondering if I can run the Deore MT-60 RD with a 7 speed sprocket in friction mode. Thanks!

Heck Yeah, that one goes up to 9. (But probably not 11.)

I love the styling on the MT60 and the M730-735 XT derailleurs... I'm not so much a fan of the sticker on the MT62 or M650 derailleurs, and after the parallelogram covers started getting all slanted, the style went all to hell.

As far as function- they should be fine indexing to 8- as others have said, probably 9.

Once you get to this generation of Shimano stuff- it just works great and this is where they nailed the classic "mean business" look.

Very well said. 👍 I just recently scored a nice RD-M735, SGS (longer cage), as well as nice but not perfect M730 cranks.

I had also recently scored a set of M737 derailleurs, but that gold XT on the M735 matches my XT M732 thumbies perfectly. 😎😁😎

That’s exactly what I run. Sometimes friction, sometimes indexed.

Have run one with sketchy STX triggers and 8 spd fine so should be fine with 7 speed sprocket and friction shifters.
