I did think of it, although a double crankset with a gear hub is a bit odd.

50+34T double chainring + 14T cog + Nexus 8: 1.6 - 7.4m, 462%

its not a true 2 crankset, but an internal hub crankset.
it will look as a single chainring but act as a double or triple

Sorry, yes there's also the Schlumpf-type bottom brackets, although it's pricier than a plain double crankset, and possibly heavier.

Are you happy with the SA X-RF8(W)? Some here find it noisy and unreliable.

its noise and unreliable. i do agree.
im ok with it. i learned how to fix almost anything on it, to disasamble and to change oil.
the good thing to have something unreliable is that you develop nicier mechanic skils!

Perfect for when riding, but not without its drawbacks -- the bike becomes thicker when folded. Anyway, it is probably the "best" place to place it on the D9... there aren't that many options.

I wish I had brought my Mezzo with me. I've not ridden in 20 months, no excuse really, I should just get a new bike....

The only place where you can buy them in the UK is on the auction sites (eBay - search for "Mezzo D9"... there are 5 at the moment there) or Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree

I've tightened all the nuts/screws on the Ori M10, including the two tiny grub screws… and the handlebar is still a bit wobbly. Even the Brompton feels more stable :-/

Is it just the way the bike is built? Could it be the headset or a worn hinge?

Interesting. Mine is not wobbly at all. I bought it used and never had to make any kind of adjustment to the handlebar.

Sometimes this wobbly feels can be related to tire pressure, especialy on front tyre and to any play on brakes, especialy the front.

A pumped up tire makes no difference.

There's noticeable wobble at a stand still when I pull the front brake.

If it's the fork, is there something else that can be done besides tightening the headset nut?

So I have decided to shell out some money and got the stand and the easy rolling kit from Ori, from a Spanish retailer named Pivot Pro. I've taken some up-close pics for you to have a look, since what you can find online is ridiculous. BTW neither come accompanied by installation instructions, you have to figure it out (no big deal, but wtf...).

Yes, definitely not cheap (and you're not considering tax + shipping -_- ). But that's what the market offers... if you don't have the tooling for crafting yours, then that's it or nothing. I've already invested a lot of money into this bike anyway... also have plans of replacing the gear system with a Nexus hub in the future, which will also cost a good amount of money. If you don't intend to sell your bike, I think it is worth it.

I am impressed at the rolling kit! It is expensive but according to the picture it looks good. Does it make it really easy to handle when folded/does it feel like a small miracle?

I am a recent owner of a Mezzo i4 and I am generally very happy. Like most of you it needed a bit of TLC when I got it from an eBay seller but it worked great until I had a fall (due to my own stupidity). No one was hurt! But the bike's stem joint is now loose. I have tried to tighten it again but to not avail. It gets loose very fast now and the steering therefore becomes rather wobbly. What can I do? Is it something that can easily be replaced? I looked for spare parts but could not find any in the end.

Any suggestion would be very very helpful!

To be honest, yes, it is definitely much better than the stock solution, although I like the "low profile" of the latter more. The new one works better but does get attention... also, when folded, due to the unbalanced weight distribution of the folded frame, only two or three wheels will be in contact with the floor/ground. It annoys me, but at least now it can be rolled without fear of damaging metal parts.
