Hmm... meeting at 1pm about our special office location. Will we be told to relocate or take severance? Stay tuned!

It goes sect by sect. The Satmar are the craziest and most insular. Their education is so bad I would be surprised if they had any lawyers among them, least of all who would do business outside the group. The Lubovitchers are a little less Taliban and more outwardly focused, and so on.

Double flat yesterday, my second double flat in about a month after not having one for decades. Yesterday I hit a rock that was in a shadow and I never saw it. I was on the first descent a few miles into the ride and was going 30+. Cut the rear almost new tire which went flat quickly but the front held up until I got the thing stopped.
Scared the crap out of me. Couldn't tell which one was flat and the bike got shakey when I braked the rear but didn't seem to be slowing down. Grabbed a bunch of front brake and finally got stopped. My first flat at speed in a while. I booted the tire and threw in a couple tubes and finished the ride with a bit more caution on the descents.

The anti-capslock filter is so strong it even wipes out the first capital in a post.
I've been telecommuting for a long time, and the bank has been trying to end that program for a while. They were on track to do it Q1 this year until Covid hit and they decided to not bring everyone back into the office. However, it's not just "back into the office"; they want their tech workers in the "core locations" of Dallas, Chicago, and Charlotte. Those who don't move get severance. Which leaves me astonishingly lucky (would be like 28 weeks for me at full pay) but still hurts. And relocation is off the table because of AG's better job, so I'd be hunting.
The leaderboard will rue that day though, I tell you.

We would need a new leaderboard then.

Good news is, boss-lady says the news is that we're just not re-upping the lease and will be in a full WFH posture. She's not sure if that's good news for us or not long-term, but apparently no axe falling today.

When I moved to Boulder I assumed the full-time telecommute was temporary. Kicked it down the road for a decade so far; the magic happens if I can wrangle another five and a bit years out of it then things will be really good.

This actually really sweet looking. I would love to get a chance to fly this thing.
