Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You could sell it to me, mayhap
How small will it pack up?

I think I invented new words, I don’t think I have ever been so angry in my life. Btw the office is 45 mins away from where our new house is, and it was rush hour at this point. Needless to say I got zero painting done today.

With the celebration all done, all I can say is, if I stuck to rule number 2, everything would have been fine.
Yo already had the keys. Make them drive over. **** the bastids. What are they gonna do, call the cops? "I have a stolen house to report".

Hindsight i wish we had gone this route. But I drove over and paid the check. Atleast my side of the street is clean.

But first figure out what it is you want to improve. That will help determine the type of intervals to do. There's a lot out there on interval training.
Over all I just want to be faster for endurance rides. Whether I choose to ride for 1 hour or 4 hours I want to be able to keep keep a higher pace than what I am now.
Up to this point I have been increasing the length of my rides. My thought process, If I could keep a descent pace for 60 miles I should be able to keep a really fast pace for 20-30 miles. Maybe I need to wait longer but so far that has proven false.
Group rides I am able to maintain a higher pace, but as far as solo rides go I have kind of peaked at 18-19. I can’t seem to break past this speed.

Back in my century days, I regularly did a fast fifty, whether going further or not.
Now I do a slow 25. Equally enjoyable

Yep, every flight with my tandem required the "wipe" treatment. They usually let me watch so that it gets packed back up correctly. One time, the tandem had been in my workroom all winter, the same room with a reloader and lots of reloading supplies. I started sweating bullets when the TSA agent stuck the swab in his scanner thingie.

Everyone has their own definition. I would say at least 5% for at least 1/2 mile counts as a hill.

Better yet is >8% for a mile or more.
