go to bike shop bring wheel ask about buying a new wheel rim hub spokes & all if not in stock, have them order one..

specialized is a brand not a manufacturer , the assembly company

Merida buys large lots of parts and the company that did make the hub logos it for the customer..

quick web search suggests "Formula" was who made the hub, eBay has used hubs for sale.

your future may be simpler if you get a wheel with a similar Shimano hub instead..

I have no insight on what to do with the hub, except for as @fietsbob suggested, replace with a Shimano hub. Shimano hubs are known to be more durable and parts are readily available.

Related point:
Much of the mass-produced stuff from the bike industry is sold with the expectation that most (probably more than half) bike are barely ever ridden. I would bet that half of all bikes sold in bike shops ride less than 1000 kms under their original owner. Bike companies know this so they often spec parts that are cheap and very likely to fail under hard use, knowing that the vast majority of bikes they sell will be beyond the 1 or 2 year warranty period on parts before failure, so the repair or replacement will be the responsibility of the customer.

When I have told people this observation before, the example I used was the rear hubs on Specialized bikes. A friend bought a good full suspension Specialized bike a few years ago, and after about 200 km (probably a month or less for my friend) the freehub stopped working. The LBS where he bought the bike said it should be covered under warranty, but Specialized had run out of replacement freehubs to send them because of all the freehub failures that year.

The moral of the story: Buy a Shimano Tiagra, 105 or Ultegra hub, depending on your budget. I'm not familiar with your particular wheel, but if for some reason a Shimano hub can't be laced into your rim, buy a whole wheel with a Shimano hub. Then you won't have this problem again.

What stripped?
An 11mm wrench in a 12mm hole?

Are you sure it was the right size hex key? Uncommon to strip out the wrench flats on something that deep. Sounds like a larger hex may be required.

As an aside, why were you trying to remove the freehub body from the hub?

You measured the hole? Pretty snug hole for a 10mm QR axle. What I've seen so far for a Specialized rear hub is a 12mm key.

I've very surprised that anyone would advise the OP to buy a new hub and rebuild the wheel. Seriously? Buy a new wheel and be done w/ it.

Agreed, replace the wheel with one already laced up with a Shimano or DT Swiss hub.
