When I was in high school, the whirligigs were out in the country by Lucama, Vollis’ house, although we didn’t know his name at the time. We called it “Acid Park” .

fitting name , I wish that video had night footage, that's when it gets real trippy.

Rain all last night, clouds and fog all day today. Was totally socked in at the very end towards sunset. Thankfully my lights were well charged!

Made for some pretty pictures though:

My mileage has been way down this year (school teacher struggling to keep up with remote learning) but I've managed to get out for three short rides this week--15 miles on Monday, 20 miles Tuesday, and 25 miles today. Feels like the beginning of spring as far as my conditioning. I glued some new Veloflex Vlaanderen tubulars on my Look earlier this week (thanks again to @Shrevvy) and have been looking forward to trying out the tires. They mounted straight and rode beautifully. I wasn't too sure about the loud/large Veloflex graphics on the tires, but I think there's a bit of symmetry with the LOOK graphics/typography, and they aren't as distracting as I originally feared.

@curbtender No, I don't think so. I didn't linger long, but I don't recall any crowds at the station or hear any trains along the road. Some cars were in the lot, but presumably just hikers.

Cruising around Haycock Mt with the new rei co-op bag, had to tape the zippers to stop the rattling but it’s solid.

First I had an new expression handed to me - “You look like Death on a tire swing, go get some sleep!”

But after that I just saw a lovely morning. I wasn’t quick enough to get a photo of the deer hanging out on the side of the road, but I did get these-

And then there was this for sale - tempting, but not today!

27ish chilly miles this morning. Sure makes you appreciate the sun when it's in the high 30s. Got downright chilly when a broken cloud layer developed!

Went on the Blue Ridge Parkway today, apparently along with just about everyone else in a 200 mile radius. Most of them stayed in their cars though.

Low 70s all day today with some drizzle then rain as we headed down south to Berth 55 seafood pier. Total 37sih miles with a good amount of people showing up this morning to ride.

Took the Krono after having the brake levers adjusted and it greatly improved its braking power.

Another Sunday afternoon poking around SW Portland. Always some nook or cranny that I haven’t explored. 14 miles, 14 hundred feet. 74 pumpkins.

Cold and sunny!
