Rode around my neighborhood on my new to me “ended up with” mid eighties bike...original tires, so I didn’t ride any further than I would have to walk home when the tires blow up!
They didn’t blow up...I pushed them kinda hard at the end...

No snow here in SoCal. Beautiful 33 mile ride thru two canyons, then out to Santa Paula's Rabelais bakery. Big group today, temps mid 50s to mid 70s. A little rain really greened things up. Another great ride on the '73 Super Course.

Apologies for ignoring all the scenic shots, but what's the purpose of these "out front" mounts for bike computers? I ride with my Wahoo on the stem. Looks like your Garmin might fit fine there as well.

I just like the viewing angle out front. That said, I have several vintage bikes with the Garmin supplied rubber band mounts on the stem too. Not that big a deal one way or the other.

Headed for the Canal on the first hook road bike...too much shade on the Island side...too icy! Hit the neighborhood roads...I may cross the bridge tomorrow to the main land side of the Canal...sunny all day long!

I got so bored with the daily grind that I dreamed this up: The Baron in Winter That was plenty of winter adventure for a devildog masquerading as a civilian! Rain is forecast for this afternoon, so got out first thing for a 35 miler with 2k feet of climbing. High point was Blue Hill Observatory in Milton, MA, just south of the Boston border. Kind of a dreary late Jan scene:

I had to head into Midtown last Friday early in the morning for work and took a couple of shots. The ride down was smooth, the ride back was 20 miles of sapping headwind.

My usual weekly ride is restricted to a couple of hours on a Sunday morning before church and before it gets too hot in the Cambodian sun. Normally there are 3 routes that I alternate to escape Phnom Penh (but I am pretty bored of them!)

So occasionally I go out on a Saturday morning instead when I have time more to explore and look for new interesting places outside the city.

Yesterday I detoured off one of the bigger roads and skirted round the Prime Minister's own private golf course then headed over to ride along Anlong Chen island which I was unfamiliar with.

Most roads are concrete but there is a smattering of trendy gravel (which the Cambodians have been dealing with since before it was trendy!) Some of the bigger roads are tarmac.

The pics are mostly at the ferry crossing including the jetty, a SUV rolling on and one of the engine for all you grease-heads out there. The bike is my 1982 Bridgestone Eurasia.

I agree, that is a beautiful photo! Did you take multiple shots? For instance, did you put the bike against the wall in the light, just this side of the barred window? I wonder how that would have affected the composition. I get excited when I'm riding and come across a setup like that. Sometimes it costs me 10-15 minutes on my ride. But that's alright, it's all part of the journey.

DQRider I only took one photograph as I was walking back to my bike. I was in a rush to reach my destination and forgot my keys in the door when leaving so I doubled back then looked at the bike and just snapped a photo. It did turn out pretty interesting. Thanks fellas!

AliH thanks for posting. I watched a show on Amazon yesterday - I forget the title - but it was the “Top Gear” guys traveling by boat from upper Cambodia all the way through the Mekong Delta. They were a little lower key than usual on the lowbrow humor and it’s an interesting look at that part of the world.

So the winter weather pattern of warm weather with 1-2 days of tropical-like downpour followed by brilliant slightly cooler days continues. Today I did 34 miles in southeastern Albemarle County along the presidential route by Monticello (Jefferson) and Ash Lawn (Monroe). These are about 3 miles apart. Madison’s home, Montpelier, is about 25 miles north of here. Several vineyards and horse farms are dotted along the route. This puts me about 220 miles this month, already smashing my previous January record.

Not many interesting rides lately a lot of snow and grey but today was fairly nice and I got to take nice ride over Beaver pass abut 12 miles round trip nice snow pack riding conditions. .

Decided to see what Mother Nature did to Chicago's Lakefront Trail in the recent storm.

Uh oh. The is trail is still closed, south of North Avenue Beach, so my investigation will have to wait for another day.

I rode 31 miles today, mostly around the Scituate Reservoir. Temp was 45, cloudy with a little sun. I took the De Rosa which rode as smooth and fast as always. I didn't see anyone else riding.
