Cargo trailers - Purpose built or hacked together

If you can find on of the older pre-2003 Burley double bike trailers they were still being made in Oregon, USA and are very durable. I like to keep mine stock; can still fit a lot of stuff in it especially if I snap the rain guard to hold it all in.
But you could hack it into a cargo trailer: https://www.instructables.com/id/Con...o-a-Cargo-Tra/

Just popped in to say I'd been putting off buying the Burley bags for my Travoy, but I got the lower market bag as a present - and was delighted to discover you can shove a 40lb bag of dog food in it! No more strapping bags onto the Travoy, yay!

I've been searching for cargo trailers that can handle heavy loads, and there aren't many available commercially and those that are can be rally expensive at $1k+. A lot of people hack together their own like you see in this thread.
I'm hoping to import a Hinterher trailer from Germany for my bike tour business since I don't have the skills or tools to make something myself (and haven't been able to find anyone locally to help out).
