Rusty Discs

Warmer weather is coming so I took a peak at the Giant Talon that has been stored outside, under cover and I noticed rust on the Disc's. It wasn't something that expected to see.

Is this a problem.?? Can't be a good Thang. How do I clean it.?? Take it for a ride full of braking.??

Not a problem.

Steel wool pad will fix it.

It's bare steel, just like the rotors on your car will flash-rust after a rain. They'll be fine.

OP here.... Agree 100%. I just needed to verify how to clean them up. Well, I'm cleaning the bike this weekend. Then going for a RIDE.!! So glad that November December January AND February is behind us.

It's up to you, just don't contaminate the rotors with skin oils or grease while you're at it.
