Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Another unknown noise question

The noise seems to be coming from the bottom bracket area, but I've read enough threads to know that it may not be from the BB. Anyway, here are the symptoms.

1. Only when I'm pedaling
2. Only in the three largest cogs
3. I don't hear it when I put it on the repair stand.

Any ideas?

thanks,

Saddle rails / seatpost interface / cable slap? All these could be causes and are worth eliminating.
