Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

That is just way too small for you. I'm just shy of 6' and was riding the 55cm and I feel the 57 would have been better but that's just my personal preference. I would recommend a much bigger frame or you're gonna feel really cramped on that 55cm.

i've been sitting here reading this for 22 hours and i just figured out what you asked me.

it's a powdercoat. first stage is a gold-glittery green, second stage is a clear coat that helps the glitter shine and adds depth. professionally done, waaay less paper than a bike painter for a much more interesting finish. metallic paints are expensive.

It's because he was typing in Chinese and it does that if you're switching to English without switching language setting. It's complicated.

I sowwy. D:

I was asking because I was thinking about having my bike painted, tired of the champagne color that BD doesn't even stock anymore. Mind if I ask how much it cost?

I am glad you realized this, haha.

That font is a PITA when searching websites or logging in because some sites will not recognize it.

That is not too bad.

I used to live in Washington, was used to paying tax; moved to Oregon, became used to not paying tax; now live in California, readjusting to sales tax. FML.

I used to think we were livin' high on the hog in OR, but they got the state income tax where they take your money before you can spend it.

Nicer up here in WA, especially if most of your discretionary income goes to food from the grocery store, it ain't taxed for the most part.

if you collect it, you must submit it.
but if 25% or more of your food is served with a utensil, you must charge sales tax for the entire menu.

a paper cup counts as a utensil (for coffee sales)

this is one area your gonna have to either
A: trust me (since i do this for a ****ing living)
B: go read up on dor.wa.gov
3: ride some bikes

I only have a multi-tool on me at the moment, so it kind of sucks.

I was adjusting each one by hand to level it, then tightening it, such a PITA. I still have to deal with the fore/aft position, though. I think I have it close to where I want it, but it just feels... off. /sigh

I just want to ride. ;_;

Set it to "close enough" and ride to the store to get a set of allen keys. STAT!
