I saw this one on my 60 mile ride today. Posted on a fence adjacent to a cattle pond. It made me laugh and think of this thread.

I guess the RVA Mob is more genteel & socially-conscious than in some other cities.

Good one. 😁 I saw one recently at a pond, that said No Fishing. The pond and a large field around it were completely fenced in, with barbed wire. 😉

My favorite is one that appears in our local town in the winter that says NO SNOWMOBILING ON SIDEWALKS. I don't have a picture, though.

Heh. I never noticed the misspelling, and I am usually good at that. Maybe they were out of Is.

BTW...Notice the lack of an area code. The place is in Montana, which still has only one area code for the entire state. As an easterner, I find it odd to see phone numbers with no area codes.

I was stopped at the top of the Bay Bridge, taking a break, and started to read some of the signs around me. Must be some kind of a Cal-trans entry level sign school around here. My favorite is the no fishing sign. You would be spooled before your line hit the water.

Three .hour window?

Got no idea why the state would step out here. Tax free on Treasure Island?

Holy cow, we let this thread die for almost 4 years? 😲 I had to look through it again, and re-laughed a few times. 😁

On the subject of magpies, I need to Google that or something. The California ones have a blue patch on their wings, but I don't remember if the Colorado ones do or not. 🤔

I came really close to hitting a very young deer yesterday, and I was walking my bike, lol. It was eating sunflowers, in a cultivated garden area (with a sidewalk going through it), so not paying much attention to anything else. I was coming around a blind corner, with lots of other plants, and distracted by bees, lol, so not paying much attention either.

We saw each other at the same time, and just kinda stood still, looking at each other, for who knows how long. It was just one of those weird moments, that makes ya wonder if you're awake, or dreaming. 🤔😁

So, it looks like yellow-billed magpies ONLY live here in California. Kinda weird. 🤔 The Colorado ones must be black-billed magpies, as would be the magpies anywhere else, here in the U.S.

BTW, pic borrowed from Wikipedia. 😉
