This wheel has been hanging around in my garage for a few years and I can't remember where it came from or even who manufactured it. It has no brand markings so I was wondering if anybody on the forum could tell me what hub this is.

Locking mechanism looks like early Phil Wood or even High -E, but Phil Wood used mostly all aluminium shells, as did High -E. I just tossed a hub that had a similar design to Phil, but a straight through aluminum axle that split internally. It would have cost $75 to machine a new axle to try and save it, and then add bearing costs. I just couldn't do it!
I am wondering if it is an early copy from France or Belgium. It looks big and beefy on the flanges like some of the early 70's stuff. I want to know too! Smiles, MH

I should add that it has a SRAM 9 speed cassette and is laced to a Mavic Open Pro rim (although the Open Pro has been around for a looooong time) so that might help date it.

It resembles but is not identical to a TNT cassette hub from the mid-'90's. I'm pretty sure the center barrel is titanium.

I was thinking that it looked similar to a Hershey Racing hub but I can't find much information on them.

Ok, I had to dig deep on this one but I finally found it. The hub was manufactured by Nosler Research and was sold under various other names as well.
