This is something I made up! Im pretty sure everybody already has their own way of storing their tools but to me this is the most comfortable without having the bag under the saddle which I dont like.
I just got one regular FREE bottle of somewhere and cut the part where it gets thinner. Then I taped up the thicker parts together. It fits 2 tubes, a tire lever and a multi tool. All very tight but better than having them on a saddle bag or on your jersey pocket. Took me about 10 minutes.

Bought a rack and pannier bags for my MTB. Next stop is possibly tyres, but I'm trying to hold off as I'm saving up for my new bike! $245 and counting, in just over two weeks. Won't be long now, I tell myself!
Oh, and I nicked a gel seat off another bike that we've got that's not in use. Here's how she looks now!

Finishing up the De Rosa rebuild and opted for Chorus 11 brakes. The extra $140 I saved by not opting for SR brakes will be going towards a Praxis Works bb & chainrings / Rotor 3D combo.

Also, you can find water bottles that don't have the narrow, grip part.

That looks 10X worse than a saddle bag IMO. If you're doing this for aesthetic reasons I think the duct tape on the tool-holder bottle looks kind of ghetto.

Semi cycling related. Went to a local bike expo today and scored a GoPro Hero2 with outdoor kit for $150. Excited to start using it. Those of you who use them, where do you mount it? Helmet? Handlebars?

Trying a new saddle this AM... Forte Pro XFR...????will see... pretty hard but seems well built. I hope it works good because o like the looks of it... Fixin to find out....Came back from my ride...I like it... a lot firmer than that Vader saddle but i like the solid feel...I was torm between this and the Pro SL but it was a lot softer...

Did you get fitted for the Specilized arch inserts? I've worn the shoe without and with, and I really like you it feels with the insert.

my no-name SPD pedals that were on my KHS MTB when I bought it in 2006, but were never used until I bought my Felt road bike last year, have some bearings going bad on the left pedal. Been wanting some dual-purpose pedals anyway so just ordered Shimano PD-A530 platform/SPD pedals so I don't have to keep switching back and forth.

Some alloy bar end plugs are on the way from Velo Orange...starting a silver accent kick since I'm now stuck with the colors of DA 9000...
...this will include one of these Purely Custom ultralight headset caps (but in silver with a black bolt)

Finally went in on a truing stand with a friend:
I'll be trying it out on my mtb wheels once I beat em up on the trail a bit more tonight. May I never have to stare super intently at the end of a zip tie or a brake pad again!
