Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

On a more uplifting note - I had the stock bumpers from my old Jeep in the attic, and was going to put them out for the trash on Sunday. Wife suggested CL instead, so did that. Today they sold, and I get to put $225 in Bike Bucks in my pocket.

Mine is this: the nearby house with the biggest Christmas display is still running. I think he may have even choreographed the lights to music.

Slow night. Everyone must be looking around going "wut"

I do this every night, but it's a rare, all-caps WUT today.

I was ready for the Tea Party to go this far in 2012. This is more of the same pretty much.

Things can still seem surreal when they happen, even if you saw them coming for a while.

I wish I could say I predicted this, but I predicted Trump refusing to vacate the office and using the military to enforce that, using the fraud allegations as an excuse to stay until everything is sorted.

There's still time for me to be right, of course.

I don’t think the military would obey such an order, and Trump would have no ability to enforce it. No matter what he does, his term ends on 1-20-21. He cannot extend that.

The military would not obey such an order to the same extent that the certification of the electoral college is a routine formality. Or he could have called his insurrectionists that day. This was too early.
