I'm intrigued by this bike--love that it's been well cared for by the original owner (who still has the kickstand and pedal reflectors!) since 1973--but am going to pass at this point. It's just a few miles away from me, and I'd be happy to help if anyone wants it.

One question from a relative newcomer to C&V bikes. Is it unusual for an early 70s bike like this to have bar end shifters? I suspected that maybe these were a later "upgrade" but the owner states that all is original, and on closer inspection it looks like there are brazed on cable stops on the downtube.

Hope that's the seller you called a troll. Seriously, I thought it was a cool bike and worth a rebuild. At $95, I'd buy it and rebuild it. Alternatively, it'd be worth it to have the parts and sell the frameset, but that's based on values where I live.
