Shorts and jerseys for large bellies?
Who makes shorts and jerseys for guys with disproportionately large bellies?
My middle seems to have reached 40" in girth which exceeds my 38" chest and matches my hips. Shorts comfortable there are getting long in the legs/loose above the knees and jerseys which fit have extra material up top that's flapping in the breeze.

Performance Elite or Ultra-II bibs should do you pretty well, at a price that won't break the bank.
Look for "club fit" jerseys instead of "race fit", since they're cut looser all-around.

Mt. Borah jerseys have a great loose fit. Aerotech designs is one of the go-to places for clyde bibs. Been very pleased with all of my bibs from them, very reasonably priced as wel.

Louis Garneau has a Clydesdale line of jerseys and shorts. I bought a Streetster jersey a couple of months ago. Sort of a straight cut which looks just like their normal Streetster jersey. Good quality and a nice design. Note that their Clydesdale line has different sizing than the rest of their apparel. Here's a link.

I use the Pearl Izumi Elite bib shorts and PI's "semi-form fit" jerseys. I have a 38" waist and wear a 44 regular suit coat. The bib shorts are super comfortable and provide support. The Semi-Form jerseys are "tailored" but not skin tight. They are a little loose in the shoulders, but don't flap around.
I am 6'1", 230 lbs and the XL size in both works great for me.

nows the time to go to the sporting goods stores and pick up seasonal summer wear. last year i bought a couple of under armor sleeveless shirts. they don't have pockets but they sure are comfy. slap on a small bento bag or larger seat bag and store keys and phone. shirts were 5 bucks each. i use these for just everyday training. i do have a few jersey that i found on ebay that are 3x and 4x for organized rides as to not look like a fred

Looks like they're out of stock at the moment, but something you might want to check back on. In general, mountain bike jerseys seem more loose fitting if you don't want the tight feel, but like the performance fabric.

I just got a wicking athletic shirt from one of the big and tall shops. It's not a jersey, but it is fluorescent green.

I have a 40 waist and 47 chest. I wear Assos size tir bib shorts and gore bike wear bib shorts in xl size. I also wear assos tir size jerseys and xxl in other brands of jerseys.

OP, unless you're commited to having the rear pockets most jerseys come with, you can find decent shirts a lot of places....

Check out Starter's 'Dri-Star' line of shirts, long- and short-sleeve. I have a drawer full of them -- about $10-15 each, so if they go to sh**, you're not out much (and as a measuring point, none of them are less than 2 years old, one is about 6-7, and they get a LOT of summer wear!).

I will second and third the suggestion of Aerotech Designs. I'm a former 54 waist, now 50, and their big guy shorts and jersey are SUPER comfortable. I would like to find some gel seat jersey pants. Still, the Aerotech's I wear are really awesome. I would like a bib though in the near future.
