Anyone on the East Coast going to the Swap meet in Westminster Md on Feb.10th? I’ll be selling a few bikes and some parts. This is usually a very fun meet and always deals to find.

Interested. Last year I did not check the calendar closely enough, went up a day early -- they were having a sheep-raising show IIRC, no bikes to be seen. Didn't feel like making the trip (116 miles R/T) two days in a row.

Picked up a nice condition but dirty as hell 2000 Trek 6500. Yep, I’m back on my every two or three years, “I need a mountain bike”, with which I’ll ride for about 6-8 months,get bored with the idea, and sell it. Picked up lots of nice Neuvo Record for the third Rossin build. And sold off the last two bikes I really wanted to get rid of.

We probably walked the show too fast, but didn't buy much. Maybe 12%-15% C&V (by my definition, pre-aero-cable but YMMV); I saw some low asking prices on some complete bikes but I'm not in the market. I saw one solibloc, which I'm am looking for -- but it had a big dent in it. My wife got an underseat bag for $5 and of all things, a cheap pair of sneakers. Wanted a truing stand but the one I saw was a wee bit more than I wanted to pay.
125 miles R/T for us, next time I really need a good shopping list so it isn't s waste of time.
While in Westminster, had lunch at O'Lourdan's, and would recommend it.

I am sad to report that while I went, I never made in the building. I had no idea this event was so YUGE! I got there around 10:30 and the place they directed me to park was arouns a half mileish to to building :0! I hadn't wanted to stay long anyway and using most of that time to walk from and back to the car in frigid weather wasn't too appealing. I'll have to plan my Vacation better next year so this is a day trip from Hanover and not just a stop en-route home.
However when I stopped at the grocery to pick up some Tastykakes for my sister I got some cool Maryland souvenirs

Presto, as they say in magicland. I've had these for a couple of decades, aging nicely in the basement of my old place and now in the garage of the newer one and ready to be uncorked and enjoyed. Makes them sound extravagantly expensive, doesn't it? Ambrosio (I think--also have some gold ones) in 27" and still in the original wrapper. Rigida 700C displayed alongside to show size difference. Honestly, I don't know why anyone would put these on a rim-brake bike because that is certain to kill the looks almost immediately.

I actually bought some dark grey to go on my Chromed 70 Professional. 5 bucks each at the show. I am actually kicking myself for not getting the set of black ones also. If I lace these up and they don't look right then I may be interested if you are selling. I spent around $100 bucks yesterday and came out with a nice set of high flange campy NR wheels, a set of rims 2 MEH Brooks saddles and 3 pairs of wool socks! Had a blast though. The biggest deal yesterday was on ebay. 3 144 bcd Campy Chain rings for22$ shipped.

I was actually hoping to meet up with a few folks from here. Is the event pretty much the same weekend every year, second sunday of Feb? I will plan better next year and be there early to get a spot closer to the door.

Definitely that same weekend - always the weekend after the Super Bowl (one year they did it the same weekend, you should have heard the complaints). Also, always the same location, and automatically assume it's going to get slightly bigger every year. So far, they haven't hit a downtrend yet.
