I’ll probably regret selling it if it sells but the money will go towards a gravel or bike packing bike.
Then last summer I picked up a used Novara Randonee which might work out as a gravel bike or I’ll set it up as a rando bike. I totally dislike the current stem on it.

That stache is a beauty. How did you like that crank/cassette setup?

What little miles I’ve put on it the drivetrain seems to work well. I installed a dropper post on it in the last week or so. Any interest I’ve had from local potential buyers have been lowball bicycle blue book offers, and the people making the offers seem to have no sense of humor and delicate/fragile egos. So, looks like I need to get some use out of it this summer once the trails dry out (and hopefully it won’t be as wet as last year, some local trails were closed most of the season).

Yeah, well, you know, everyone gets a trophy these days. You can certainly expect some cry babies out there when you tell 'em like it is, even politely.

"once the trails dry out"??? That Stache is hankerin' to get muddy! Let 'er loose!

Gotta respect the local trail builders and maintainers. I’ll get it muddy eventually. 8)

Winter build: Surly ½DT14 'British 26'.

As the decades pass, my cycles have become more idiosyncratic. This started as a 52cm Surly Disc Trucker frame for 26" (ISO559) wheels. I built it with a non-disc Rohloff hub and 32º 2X EA3 wheels; 19~101 G.I. Platform+SPD Shimano pedals, VO stem, bars & seatpost, Gilles Berthoud shifter, TRP HY-RD front brake & Dia Compe 750 rear. Crane E-NE, Fenix BC-21R, Planet Bike Grateful Red. It's everything I'd hoped except so far I'm not falling in love with the Brooks Cambium C17.

I've been through comfort bikes, hybrid bikes, done my road bike period . . . But my new Surly Troll is the epitome bike for a older man to off into the sunset (and hopefully keep on touring/riding for years to come) with!

Very nice.

I am in the process of putting together a Surly Troll build myself, just trying to find the right shop to do the facing of the BB, Headset and crown race of the fork.

With any luck, my Surly Troll will be on the road/path, by the end of April.

P.S. Love the kickstand on your Troll.

Great gearing set up for riding on that road. Also should be fun on the downhills.

Nice bike. I must get down to do the Comet this year. Rode today and it was 33% humidity. Here in GA...that is NIRVANA.

LOL. The tank is a few miles from my house, so I pass it frequently on my rides. Thought it would be a good spot for a photo. Ruby is the bike (even if she's not red).

Upgraded my Cannondale Synapse Ultegra this winter to include Mavic Cosmic Pro carbon wheels. Very noticeable improvement in ride comfort and definitely faster.

My REI Co-op branded with carbon fiber frame. It's a great bike at a reasonable price. For the same amount of energy, I go at least 3 mph faster than on my steel gravel grinder.
