Vintage Olmo road bike, what is it worth?

I found an Vintage Olmo bike and the asking price is $250. It has a lot of pantographs on it but no chroming anywhere, pretty good frame made with Falck tubing ( sticker on it ). The components are Campagnolo front and rear derailleur ( not Record or Nuovo Record, just Campagnolo on it ). The brake levers are Campagnolo and brakes are Modolo. The tires are not original and the handle bars and stem are 3T. The crank is Michie ( 2 speed ) and the plates have been replaced ( Specialized ). The pedals are Campagnolo with metal clips and one of the leather harness is broken on it. It has 6 speed at the back. The size fits me as well. Its color is orange with "olmo" in yellow. I am unable to post photos because I have not made 10 posts yet. Is this a good buy? Thanks so much in advance.

You are going to want to post this question on the C&V valuation forum. It may well be a reasonable deal at $250 Canadian particularly given that bike prices tend to run a bit higher in Canada than in the US. Falck is good tubing and the components you describe also sound good. A picture especially of the drive side is important. You can go to introductions and introduce yourself which will help you hit 10 posts. You are at 7 so if you reply in the intro forum, you'll hit 10 fast.

Also if you ask for help on the C&V valuation forum someone will help you post the pics.

Sounds like a cool bike. My 1960 Olmo Gran Sport is one of my favorite bikes:

There is a forum specifically for vintage appraisals and it would probably get more traffic there. You might repost it or the moderators can move it.
As far as the value Olmo bikes on Ebay vary in price but the complete bikes I saw on there were upwards of $500.

If your size, could be a cool bike. I'd imagine that the hardware is Gran Turismo, or Valentino? Is the front derailleur like a matchbox?

Surprised about the Campagnolo levers with Modolo brakes...replaced calipers at some point?

Olmo made a wide range of bikes from High to low end etc. I am hard to give you an evaluation without any pics...why not get your post count up by responding on the "introduction" SF?
You might also take a look on the net to see if you can find your particular bike there in order to see where it might be on the Olmo food chain.
Condition is the key to classics and the prices that they bring...Pantographs are a good sign but lack of chrome leaves me wondering but I have seen nice ones without it...check it out and if you like it offer less, you will be putting in around 100.00 unless the seller has already put new tires, cables and done a complete regrease on it.
Good Luck, Ben

$250.00 CND - run, don't walk, to get the bike. Were it me, it would be mine already!

I see a bunch of Bianchi photos, but no Olmo photos.

$250 is probably within reason, but it will depend on fine details. and the ultimate condition. Sewups?
