Addiction LXXX

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Somehow I am still on a Barcelona group ride meetup mailing list that I signed up for a few years ago (and participated in a few rides). They say that they are limited to 6 riders. It looks like they are having a resurgence in Catalonia too.

iTriste!

It probably has to do with how much spam gets posted using certain alphabets.

I don't. I will take the early morning light as a consolation but would not mind if we stay on daylight time.

But then yesterday, I headed out for a ride at 4:30 and didn't get back till 6:15 and it was getting about as dark as I'm comfortable riding in. Two weeks, and it'll be Standard Time again and sunset at 5:00.
I’ve become a lot more comfortable with the dark lately, I didn’t see a single car today until the last 3 miles of my ride.

My only issue with the dark, no matter how bright my light is, it’s still hard to see obstacles.

I was interested in a new Giant TCR or Propel, size S. My LBS said to check back in the Spring.

I don't know about you, but I don't really relish waking up in the dark, which is what happened the year they made DST last all year. That, and kids waiting for the school bus in the dark.

Not gonna happen where I live. Any road I can ride would have too many cars to consider riding in the dark.

I don't really need a new bike as the above machine has Di2 and a power meter. I also have three sets of wheels for it. Its Achilles Heel is the aero rim brakes. They're a little finicky and don't stop all that well.
