Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bruh, the entire time I've watched football the Cowboys have been going to be great next year. Every year they have awesome talent. Every year they're going to dominate. And every year they're pretty much mid-pack at best with the occasion swift exit on wild-card weekend.

I do feel so bad for Dak though. He seems like genuinely a great kid and no one has a single bad word about him, ever. Hopefully he gets Cousined and gets to pick a decent franchise.

I love that album. Some of my friends went to one of the concerts and were simply blown away. The only thing wrong with it is Buddy Miles.

If we’re talking Rapha, a quick look at who wears it around here would cure you of your desire.

Hippies, punks, skaters, hipsters, MTBers, who cares.

Of course the idea is noncomformity with the (perceived) majority, not with any group. The whole thing is sill stupid though.

Ha! Most of the people that I've come across wearing Rapha in the wild have worn it pretty well - at least reasonable cycling shape, didn't look like try-hards, etc, etc.

But no, the manufacturer of discussion is Cafe du Cycliste. Some of their stuff hits the right notes for me, some is a little too... free form jazz.

.... but maybe if I buy one of those lumberjack-lookin' cycling jackets...

Fashion is one thing, but the really dumb part is when these sensibilities fly in the face of tried and true function. You're going to wear jorts and a Camelback because you don't want to look like a roadie, eh? Good call.

I love Buddy Miles, he's a better vocalist than Jimi, IMO.

The scene in "Life of Brian" where the crowd has figured out where he lives, so they all congregate outside his house. He tells them, "You're all individuals!!"

And they answer, in unison, "YES, WE'RE ALL INDIVIDUALS!!!"

My response to that crowd is always "go swimming in your jorts or no sale".

I personally wear a matching Castelli jersey and bibs on Sunday rides to destroy people's image of who wears Castelli.
