Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm with you. If I didn't pay good money to roll with stuff that turns me into a rolling billboard, I would go with some of that. Some of it is actually really nice looking.

Thank heavens Cuore' is quality stuff, otherwise I'd feel taken advantage of.

I'm running low on Jager, thinking about hitting up Total Wino to reup, and see if they have any other exotic herbals. In Portland there was a bar called Aptheke, and they had some crazy stuff. They had a sandalwood liqueur that was just like drinking alcoholic wood.

In my family, we speak in a shorthand of Monty Python, and quotes from old movies we've seen and books we may or may not have read.

I just want something that looks good, whether it's heavily-branded or not. It's depressingly hard to find.

Hadn't heard of them before - looks quality. I'm liking that more manufacturers are working different textures/weaves in to their kit (sorry, Mo).

Look at that smoke, when I use to be in charge of two coal boilers we needed to ensure that the opacity limit was not exceeded. That looks to be significantly higher than what was allowed . Granted it is part of the allure.

I washed my car once in the last 2 years, I don't detail my bike after every ride, I only clean it rarely. But when a wheel starts breaking spokes or a rim cracks I like to freshen up those parts even though I live on a very small amount of money each month and have to spread out expenses so I don't go into the red. ymmv

Thanks. I'll see if I can get them shipped here. My current Amazon.com(USA)order is taking nearly two months from order to arrival. From Amazon.com.mx, the prices aren't nearly so forgiving.
And, my question was sincere; no snark intended. Over in C&V, the Armourall/ detailing comment would be deserved. I just need to remember which forum I'm in.
Peace

Back in the Steam Era, Union Pacific did a series of promotional films, including one about the Big Boys. One of them showed the Cheyenne, Wyoming 'shops', where they did their heavy maintenance work. There's a scene where a worker is cleaning some air filters by placing them on the ground outside somewhere and spraying them with "solvent", which isn't identified but may well be what my friend who worked in Toxic Waste Site Remediation called "Ethyl-Methyl Bad S***".

So, by comparison, coal smoke might almost be benevolent.

Is there someone in your area who can cut and thread them? Unless, of course, you can buy the right length.
