^^^Yes it is.
1990 Fuji Ace. Love it. Very nice frame with cheapo parts -so it is worthy of upgrading

i found out this herbrecht chainstay decal (from a french market '80 pkn10) may be a bike shop in the southeastern french town of grenoble in the rhône alpes region. the tdf passes through there each year.

I know Howard, the owner of the Bicycle Shack. The shop closed a few years ago, but it lives on in Seinfeld reruns! If you watch the two part episode where Kramer goes to LA, when Jerry and George are looking for him, there's a shot of them driving right by the Bicycle Shack. The shop was right by CBS Studios, where Seinfeld was shot. He was a major Bridgestone and Specialized dealer in the early days of mountain biking.

Not the most attractive sticker, but I understand his shop was a staple of the bike scene for many decades.

A rather plain sticker for a cyclery with a rather strange name. The main business was a pharmacy (hence the name) on the main floor, with a bicycle & hobby shop in the basement. The building burned down in the late 70's, IIRC.

On the Raleigh Twenty. Way too many factory decals plus the dealer tag on this bike. Overkill. Most other bikes I remove them and just like those car dealer license plate surrounds - to the garbage they go.

The Beverly Hills location was the premier property, they held the master lease on the corner building and in 1976 the buyout price was too tempting to pass up, they bought then sold the building made a handsome profit and consolidated operations in Westwood.
And before my time there was even a "Serviced By" transfer, I don't think those lasted too long.
The Westwood shop on Gayley Avenue is now a Helen's Cyclery location.
Some of the other shop graphics have been noted in other posts as being very similar amongst the shops. One reason was bike shops rarely hired a graphic designer, the decalcomania vendor often did a number of shops so a shop would just select a "style" of art and they would personalize the information. Many shops used a rider in profile standing on the pedals, I remember at least 3 in Southern California.
Many shops ordered stickers from suppliers who advertised in trade magazines such as Bicycle Dealer Showcase.

Anybody have a picture of a sticker from the old Wheel Goods on Hennepin Ave. in Minneapolis, MN? Got my Raleigh grand Prix there in 1971 and if I ever find the right GP I'd like to have a duplicate made to put on it. I have a NOS Wheel Goods Flyer head badge they put on a line of bikes they sold under their name, there was a glut of them on eBay awhile back so I grabbed one just for grins. Never saw one of the bikes, guessing they were lower end Taiwan stuff though.

I don't have very much info on this, all I can tell you is that it is on a 1975 Carlton Criterium.

Great thread!
C. Harding's Westwood Cyclery from Los Angeles, CA, USA
I understand that the shop closed when the namesake owner returned to Ireland.
Sticker in poor shape from my 1967 Carlton Flyer, which I purchased at a swap meet in Albuquerque, NM, USA as a badly abused frame and fork before moving to San Jose. Now the bike will be coming with me to Sweden.

Gundelach's is still listed as a power equipment dealer with the same phone number in New Rochelle, NY. Different street address, however. There's an unrelated bike shop (Metro) next door to this address, according to the images on Googlemaps. It would be interesting to find out how this '74 Sports Tourer ended up in St. Paul, MN.

The now defunct Bike Center in Oxford, Ohio, near the campus of Miami University. In the mid '80's, I worked there for beer and book money. Last year I found a local bike ('81 Raleigh Comp GS) once sold by my former boss a few years before I started working there.

I believe I've been to this bike shop having been in Oxford a few times back when I lived in Dayton. There is a bike shop in Oxford now but I don't recall what the name of it is. I still ride to Oxford from Harrison, OH and back with my club.

Here are two that nobody's posted yet:
Jones Bikes in Longbeach, CA which looks like a really high volume shop, on the web and up and running since 1910! It was on a (1980's? Univega?) beach cruiser given to me, which I got running again and gave away. I'm pretty sure the Belmont shore neighborhood is adjacent to the beach where my brother broke his neck body surfing last year. (He's OK now, and mostly recuperated from a broken leg he got shortly after that. Other parts he's broken over the years include ankle, pelvis and back. I'm having second thoughts about the old Peugeot I gave him. Should I make him give it back, for his own safety?)
Baker Cycles in Baker, OR, using the highly original Penny-Farthing graphic. This is on my Tempo, which I got from a flipper in Seattle. Can't find anything on the web about them, but their address now hosts Flagstaff Sports.
