Knife Fight
What is a knife fight? I’ve heard various explanations and not sure I understand what the point is. How often do they happen? Guessing more so in men’s races vs women’s.

IIRC Manual for Speed started (or maybe just "popularized" it?) this in 2017 at Tulsa Tough? They've since taken down or hidden all their pages related to it since there was some stupidity about how they went about it. Basically two or more people go to a race solely with the intention of racing each other, within the race. IMO it's pretty anti-social to all the other racers, I understand it's a dig against over-serious amateur cyclists but that's punching down when you do it to Cat 3s.

Cat 2
Even better. The person who "won" the competition last year sandbagged in the 3's at tulsa tough even though he was a cat 2 (under someone else's name) then disappeared before the podium.
Drama ensued and somehow the guys over at MFS still get to go to big events, give coverage and sell garrish kit.
Executive summary:

Executive summary:
- They had planned to transfer registrations from their acquaintances who lived in OK. They forgot and are sorry.
- The guy who is Cat 2 forgot to downgrade and is sorry. He has now donwgraded.
- Unintentionally podium-ing, the Knife Fighter decided to no-show the podium. There was no USADA test. Confirmed by USAC and USADA.
