Shipping it back -actually coming up with a bike box- would be a little tricky, but it's being seriously considered.
You know I can handle that.

I think I really am going to do this. I have no vintage bikes geared for this so I guess I will be riding my 99 Circuit or my Super Six Evo, unless I just do the short ride and try to muscle out the 42 - 26 on my Roberts or Ocshner? I really want to see the bikes and meet the people, put a face to the forum name. So many cool people on this forum.

A few days to go, so let's recap a bit.

Registered people via vivacycling.com are part of the activities listed on the web site: www.vivacycling.com

The ride is not supported. The route sheets are out there. Expecting more would be an error. Anything out there not from a convenience store would kind of be a bonus. I've made some arrangements, but an expectation of, say, an MS150 rest stop...well, this is not that kind of thing.

I'm helping Dave, and he had to set his limits with what he can provide his registrants in mind.
If you come to look at bikes, or show up for the Saturday/Sunday ride(s), please bear that in mind.
If you show up, not registered, with some other expectations, well, blame me.
My guess is we will have a good time, as we are all into bikes and nice folks.

If you stop in Madison to snake a Koga-Miyata, well, you know the deal.

Ha!
Pete, did you even ever build that Koga Miyata?

As a suggestion, anyone who's not registered but shows up to ogle and participate, might be worth bringing a sixer and some snax. Just mentioning, hostess gift and all...

Well, I won't be able to ship a bike from California, and I've only ridden twice in the past three years. But, I'd still love to see youse guys! And, as the fates would have it, my niece (senior at UW Madison) has a birthday on Saturday. So, I'll be flying in to do a combo birthday visit, and also pop out to see you all on Friday and Saturday for a bit. I'll be staying in Madison, but should be able to make the Friday dinner/drinks, and also any Saturday daytime festivities.... I need to be back in Madison on Saturday evening for a birthday dinner....

Look forward to seeing you!

I wanted to register for this event long ago. I was not able to know for certain that I could and by the time I was sure, registration was closed. Reading about it, the bike show, all of the people coming from all over the place just got to me and as a last minute decission, I decided to take my wife and get away to this cool little town filled with very cool people I would love to meet. Never crossed my mind to expect anything for free. My only desire was to enjoy the company. Its a no support ride so I really expect no support. Would not even consider a free spaghetti dinner, I only hoped to be able to show up after I took my wife out to dinner and everyone was finished eating? I'm starting to think that my low expectation may not even be fulfilled and I will not feel very welcome? If not there are lots of things in the area for us to do. I will still have fun.

I'm local but didn't register, I don't plan on participating in any of the rides but would like to stop by on Saturday and ogle some bikes as well as ride the PX10 around town. What time Saturday would be the best time to stop by?

Is that for Friday evening? I doubt I'll make the Friday afternoon ride but I'm planning on making it for beer on Friday evening. Gotta have your priorities set in life.

Stuff...

1. Have fun.
2. If you didnít register, BYOB is a good take on it.
3. Plan on a ride like youíd do solo, and youíll be fine. No need to panic. A good day on wheels.
4. Tonyís is about putting faces to names.
5. I do not want to see Dave with an empty glass or plate at Tonyís or on Sunday.

We will be fine. The kids are alright.

I am registered and wont be able to make it into town until probably 730 on Saturday evening. Point being- registered or not- you would be around meeting everyone before me and would be quite welcomed.
Since the start, it was mentioned unregistered riders are very much welcome since this has a limit, but it an unsupported ride.
You for sure need to come.
