Bicycle gifts 2019

Did you give or receive any bicycle related gifts this year? Bicycles, or bicycle parts, or accessories, or art, or anything? This was an off year for kids bikes in our house, so only one kiddo got a handlebar bag. But I got a t shirt and some cool model kits... a pretty modern wooden MTB and a pretty antique laser cut city bike

I'm giving my bikes the gift of a clean garage. Not quite there but close. They've never seen this. I think they'll enjoy it.

My husband and I gave each other a bicycle trip for Christmas. We'll be doing a bike/boat tour along the Danube in September. I'm just glad he stuck to our agreement and didn't buy me anything else. Usually we make a pact and I stick to it and he buys gifts anyway and then I feel bad.

From my wife I received a pair of Park Tool tire levers, an extra tube, a CO2 cartridge, and two pairs of socks. I also received (or will receive as it hasn't arrived yet) a new bicycle jersey and bib shorts.

I didn't own tire levers and the rest are things that having extras of is a good thing.

I used part of a gift card on some Kool Stop dual compound brake shoe inserts. Not so exciting, but stopping is important!

My son gave me a set of calipers (the measuring tool, not the brakes), as I hope to do some mechanical work on a Cannondale that I recently acquired.

I think you HAVE to wear flesh-colored shorts to get the full effect.
