Eastern Canada Trip Planning
My wife and I are planning on biking in Eastern Canada this summer. At our age, we are not looking to do long-distance touring. Rather, we are looking for interesting scenic routes (preferably bike paths) up to about 50 km. Rails to Trails style would be ideal. We will be traveling by car, staying in hotels, and doing out-and-back day trips by bike. We are planning on spending some time riding in Toronto. I know the Toronto area pretty well and have done a lot of biking there. We also want to ride Le P'tit Train du Nord near Montreal. Looking for rides in the Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City areas or nearby. Thank you!
Last summer we did the same thing in Europe riding on portions of EuroVelo 5, 15, 17 & 19.
Thanks in advance!

Along the St. Lawrence river, Thousand Islands area is very pretty, flat as well. Brookville on the CA so recommended, very pretty town, lots of places to stay or eat, You can do cross border and ride the U.S. side as an option. Or PEI. Has extensive bike paths as well as lobsters !.

The Route Verte website is handy for planning trips in Quebec. https://www.routeverte.com/en/
I have a chalet at KM 129 on Le P'tit Train du Nord and it is a wonderful rail trail to ride. I would recommend starting at Mont-Laurier and riding towards St-Jerome.
There are a few other rail trails in the region and you may consider having a home base and do day trips.
Parc Du Corridor Aérobique 58 KM https://corridoraerobique.ca/en/cycling/
Veloroute des Draveurs is 72 KM https://tourismevalleedelagatineau.c...-des-draveurs/
Cyclopark PPJ is 92 km in the Pontiac region https://www.bonjourquebec.com/en-ca/...oparc-ppj/0ptw
The Ottawa/Gatineau region has lots of great cycling!
