It might not be a Colnago, but if you could get it for a $100. It would make a really nice modern build. Looks like a nice frame, add some carbon forks and modern 10 speed Campy parts.

No, unless it's a Colnago Sport. I'm 100% sure it's not a Mexico, Super or Master.

yeah I dig the colors and the lugs look high quality- but without fork I think I am giving it a pass. if it had what it actually was and not fake colnago stickers id be more tempted!

I agree that the only possibility is a sport and I doubt that. Never have I seen Colnago lugs that plain, even on a Sport. Intensionally faking decals is a clue IMO that there may be issues other than that deception.

Have you checked the serial numbers?
What's stamped on the BB; any pantographing on elsewhere on the frame?
Also, here's a supposition for you: maybe the frame is hot? That is, not a forgery, but simply the product of a 'five-finger discount' that someone's trying to fence?

another thread identified it from a CL post on the east coast where it sat unsold, and then an ebay auction where it was clearly identified as not a colnago frame- but did have a colnago fork. it seems this guy purchased it on ebay, took the fork, and is now being purposefully "unclear" about its origin. when I talked to him on the phone he expressed to not know if it was a colnago or not.
east coast CL ad and the ebay auction both said it was not. so yeah, the guy is trying to pull one off a bit.

For lots of reasons.
I pass on bikes or frames with missing or replacement forks! Why? What happened to the original? Paint can hide a multitude of sins!
The theory that someone replaced the original fork with a carbon fiber fork is very????
If that were the case why didn't the owner keep the original fork, just in case?
Was a carbon fiber fork used because the bike was in a front ender and a CF fork was easier to get than a steel replacement?
I think that a lot of recently repainted frames were projects that someone sunk a lot of money into before ever riding the assembled bike. After building up the bike the owner didn't like the fit, ride, handling or whatever?
Except in a few situations like truly rare or expensive bikes or frames, it's difficult to recoup the restoration costs for most refinished bikes!
