Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

XDR driver for Novatec hubs?

Just ordering a couple of wheelsets with Novatec hubs. Anyone knows if Novatec hubs can be converted to be used with Etap Axs 12 speed?

Specifically this one. F482SB-SL

check the BDop website. I know there’s a chart that shows compatibility of freehub bodies.

Thanks.

This page has that info. Between Bitex and Novatec, which would you choose?

I'd probably go with Novatec, but honestly I'm done with very low budget hubs. DT Swiss 350 hubs or Hope are probably the way I'd go. They cost a little more, but the durability is far superior.

What kinda durability are we talkin' about here? I have two sets of Bitex hub fitted wheels, with a total of maybe... 30,000 miles between 'em? Never touched a single bearing.

Your experience is quite different than mine. I was replacing the bearings every 6-8k miles because they were gritty. The tiny little bearings, that allow the hubs to be so lightweight, just didn't last very long.

Wife and I have 4 wheelsets between us with Novatec hubs, and they have been fine for maybe 10K kms or so each. No rain rides though.
