Stolen Bike
Bike Stolen from condominium bike lockup at Fort York Blvd and Fleet St (near Princes Gates CNE) Harbourfront area of downtown Toronto ON.
The bicycle is a very dark gray with hint of dark green. DiamondBack Clarity 21 speed 3by7, Shimano components, White seat, white and black ergonomic hand grips on a black straight bar.
Aluminum frame, black wheels and spokes with locking security axles.
If someone tries to sell this bike or you see it locked up contact me or Toronto Police they are aware of the theft.
Police have the serial number.
The bike was stolen from August 11th to 16th 2019.
$100. Reward

Hi. I'm sorry to hear that your bike was stolen.
Have you also tried posting about it on the Toronto Stolen Bikes Facebook page? Occasionally, local cyclists have managed to help other cyclists recover their stolen bikes by mentioning where they've seen their stolen bike, locked on the street.

When I worked at a TO used bike shop, we were required to see ID of the seller and keep a log book of bicycles we bought, and that book was occasionally checked by a police person who came in. I only recall a couple of instances of bikes getting back to their owners, but it did happen.
This was back when Igor Kenk was still in the business of 'contracting' bike thieves to get him inventory for his Queen st shop, so maybe many of the stolen bikes went that route.

When I was a kid, my dad would make me scratch my social security number into the paint on the bottom bracket -- supposedly so I could prove it is mine if it ever got stolen then found. One of them did get stolen and never found. There is probably a Schwinn banana bike out there with my numbers on it roaming the earth to this day...
