Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If you'd like I can be your new mortal enemy.

Hey for all I know we were mortal BF enemies from 2007-2009 and I just forgot.

Hi Rad. Did your son pursue the guitar? It can be a discouraging instrument to stay up with unless you are playing in a band...piano is much better for solitary enjoyment...just got back from London..my little brother is a touring musician with Las Vegas-based band The Killers and they were the headline act on day one the the 40th b-day celebration for the Hard Rock Hotel...got to meet Stevie Nicks, Ray Davies, and Adam Ant...Bon Jovi and Rod Stewart had too many corporate stooges making them inaccessable...

I don't remember you, but then I have had a recent encounter with a large, bald Haitian man who makes me forget stuff.

Older son is still very much into music and guitars and has mentioned The Killers many times, though I don't know them. He's very much into rock history and I took him to see "One Night With Janis Joplin" here in Portland. Great show. Thanks for asking....

Not to steal the returning thunder of the OP, but I am only half through season one! I hope it didn't jump the shark as badly as Twin Peaks season two.

Good for your boy. Musicians make alot more than bike racers and get hotter chix, even when they are old i.e. Steven Tyler (sneeze) Keith Richards, (burp) Paul McCartney

Yeah I ride, but I'm just not as gung-ho roadie as I used to be...more into fixies these daze!
