Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Troeggs Nugget Nectar. One of my favorites! But, I must say it still isn't quite as amazing as heady topper DIPA, its pretty much the perfect IPA style beer.

This stuff is so good! Tried it at a friends house and had to go buy a couple jars of it straight after.

Had the Nutty Brewnette, Porter and Seasonal Grand Cru at my local BJ's yesterday (with nachos and pizza).

The Grand Cru was delicious, but a little sweet. I don't mind that at all. Porter was straight chocolate beer, but dang it was goooood.

This one poured quite a head. Real tasty with some homemade brussels sprout and sweet potato hash cooked in coconut oil and loaded with sriracha sauce!

what do you think of Troeg's Perpetual IPA? I had some back home in PA last week and found it good, but a little malty for my taste.

Currently, Foothills Hoppyum. Just a solid, quasi-local IPA (their Seeing Double DIPA is my favorite beer ever, i think). I also like Fullsteam Rocket Science (actually local), but i can't buy it at the grocery store so here we are. Any other nc beer fans out there? Had a Big Boss DIPA at lunch and it was decent.

(also, this is why i'm still fat).

I haven't had that one yet. I'll pick some up next time I'm at the beer store. If you can find some Nugget Nectar, pick it up, cuz they release it once a year. Its really good. Its really balanced between the slight maltiness of an amber with the hop power of an IPA.

To lazy to take a picture, but Im drinking Fontezoppa Verdicchio Sparkling wine. Since I work in brooklyn at a wine shop, most people who came in bought champagne/sparkling wine all day because of the Oscars (freakin Brooklynites) and they gave me a craving for some bubbly.

While growing up I used to love soda, but I stopped drinking it a while ago. So now every time I have a craving for soda I pick up some sparkling wine.

post-midterm-stress-release: started with a founders Cerise, then a Breckenridge Brewery Avalanche, and now a Big Sky Brewing Co 'Bobo's robust porter'. Have a porter, stout, and an organic IPA still in the fridge. And possibly going to the bar tonight. **** school. I'm on spring break.
