Quirky trademarks
I used to have a little raccoon doll with spring-loaded arms clipped to one of my seat stays.
Nowadays, when I build a wheel, I put a rubber band around the hub. I like when someone asks me how I got it in there.

This will sound stupid but, from riding my bicycles, I learned to tuck my right pant leg into my sock. Once I did this, I discovered how comfortable the tucked in pant leg was. So, I tucked in the other pant leg in also, when riding and, these days...
I tuck my pants into my socks all the time, riding or not, assuming that I am wearing socks and pants at the same time. Sorry, no pictures of this but I would be happy to take one if you wish.

Probably more hack than quirky but I normally use black bar tape secured at the loose end, normally the top with electrical tape for durability.
Also not shy for when the tape or old hoods get dinged up, sometimes end up with it on the ends too and if one side gets done the other side will be done to match.
My Son has always been hard on bar tape and wanted cool stuff so when it needed help it got reinforced so it could carry on.

I have my riding gear sussed out to where this isn't an issue now days but its a tradition that goes way back and covers a lot of ground, we all have things that work for us.

An old girlfriend used to find it amusing that I "always" wipe my hand off on my buttock after drinking from a water bottle while riding.
I'll pull the bottle with either hand, but I'll then wipe the same side cheek with that hand after replacing the bottle in the cage.
I wasn't aware of that habit until she told me she liked seeing me do it and that it made her feel closer to me.
She had her quirks too, but that's off-topic.
We were together for about 2 years.
About 5 years after the relationship ended, I was out for a ride with a buddy when I could see a car was slowing as it came up on us from behind.
A female voice called out and it was the same girl with a big smile on her face.
From the driver's side she shouted out the passenger window "I knew that was you way back there after I saw you wipe your butt!"
I guess that's a quirky trademark.

I don't know if these are quirky.
I always use white bar wrap and never clean it.
The D-rings on my Campy hubs cannot stick straight out.
My rear quick release has to point straight down.
If my rim strip has a company name or logo on it, it has to read from the right even though it is never seen.

sorry... I assumed that this was about corporate trademarks, and my mind immediately went to T.A.'s "Fifi" kid. I don't recall the story of why he was used as a logo or trademark for T.A.
This illustration was in the Cyclo-Pedia catalog back in the day, showing Fifi's head sticking out of a T.A. water bottle....
OTOH, my personal trademark might be the use of the T.A. handlebar bottle cage.... I really love them!

I haven’t done this in quite a while. For years I would pick a few wild flowers and tuck them between my saddle and tire carrier.

Usually I prided myself with flawless, almost silent, shifting and spinning, and a Presta adapter screwed on to the front wheel valve stem. The shifting part, I'm having a bit a trouble with on one bike.

Hi Tom,
Seeing the photo of your truing stand reminded me that at a local shop years ago there was a mechanic who kept a bell mounted by or on his truing stand.
Whenever he completed a wheelbuild or wheel truing he would ring the bell to proclaim "another finished job."
