Do expensive daddy cars in Singapore not have headlights?

As to finding her cousin, they must not have cell phones either.

What a load of BS that the Judge joined into with the shadows crap.

Drunk after the time at the nightclub perhaps?

Also something to note - the ethnicity of the driver and the cyclist. Not surprised that a Singaporean judge might give her the benefit of the doubt or go soft on her.

I remember an article on how tough the Singapore judicial system is. Talked about big fines for spitting and caning for taggers.

In 2010, a Swiss national, Oliver Fricker, pleaded guilty to charges of trespassing into a Mass Rapid Transit depot and spray-painting a train with an accomplice, and was sentenced to five months' jail and three strokes of the cane. On appeal, the High Court increased his total jail term to seven months.
So for tagging with tresspass - 7 months in jail and 3 lashes with a cane (An extra 2 months in jail for appealing his case).

And for hit and run with sending a cyclist to the hospital - a fine of $2,400, no jail and no caning.

She's a rich woman in a poor country: She can do whatever she wants. No major penalties for her, especially with daddy's bankroll.

Singapore a poor country? Somehow I don't think so. GDP per capital data ranks Singapore at 18th in the world and the USA at 15th behind Australia (2011 data).
