@cdmurphy fine I'll polish the calipers. Just a little.

Here's the Miyata after prepping most of the parts and test fitting some smoked housing that was here. Clear green housing/tape is still talking to me and will try to track that down. Also need to figure out a wheelset. These are Super Champion/Avocet and are destined for another build.

All the frame tubes on these two bikes are the same length within ~1/4-1/2"

That specialized is one beefy looking bike, I love it.

Nice Miyata, very similar to my 1973 10DX-T tourney, except for the nicer tubing, dropouts and drive train. I'll have to measure as i'm curious who the geometry between the two compares.

Seat post in the Tourney was 26.2/26.4 so your would easy be .2/.4 bigger with the thinner walled CrMo tubing compared to the HI-ten mine was made out of.

Experimenting with blue. First test ride went great and it kinda maybe fits. My cheapo scale says it's 23.5lbs in this config with Wolber GTA 700c rims with 90s 7s Shimano hubs and 23c Panaracer tires. Tape is a quick job with some leftover cork stuff. Who can identify what I screwed up?

I am trying to recreate a pro 1. Ido this from specs I find and start with frames and 90z components available. I see rims and tires consumables..

Will this fit my short legs/long torso? Not sure. Must tear down first.
Similar measurements to my '73 World Voyageur and '82 or so Lotus Classique. A shorter than usual 7 or 8cm stem worked for me. A little extra height helps shorten the reach too.
