Intro.
Hi!
Thanx all fer bein on here!
May not have been proper!
So; I love bikes! @ one point I had 37 Schwinn. I ride a 1957 Hornet that I put a 2 spd kckbck on to do Seattle to Portland.
Currently building a steel Italian Road bike. Tech. & carbon is cool but when I see brass around the lugs of one these - That is where my heart is. Handling, polishing some of these Campagnolo parts ya feel like a jeweler.
Having lived in Bergamo Perugia, seeing races, hearing gear sets or clicking of freewheels left an impression.
To think of those Italian riders leaving their mark on racing prior to "doping" - STUDS! Fan of Seattles Super Stud Chic Rebecca Twigg ✌️️

I like your style, while there is nothing wrong with carbon, I too have a thing for vintage steel and I agree that many of the parts on our bikes are detailed like pieces of jewelry.

Intro.
Thnx fer the note! Carbon & tech is mind boggling; No cables? Signal sending shifters? Hydrolic disc brakes, mstr cyl under the lever hood? (I do have a 1971 5spd disc) a 15 lb bike today & my lil 20" S7 is probly 20 lbs alone!
Amazing progression - Probably will jack the value of the fine hand built Italian steel luggers! ❤️

@Vintavelo - If you are in the Puget Sound area, we occasionally have small (less than a dozen folks) group rides with vintage bike enthusiasts. Keep an eye on the C&V subforum, come Spring.
That'd be awesome! Vintage lugged frames or cantilever bikes?

Depending upon the ride, we get everything from very old 3spd bikes to lugged steel frames with modern components. Actually the bike is not so important, we gather mainly to meet&greet and talk bikes. And ride a bit. No drop rides.
What city are you near/in?
