Looking for a lever nut
I'm looking for a quick-release #8 36-tpi (metric is fine) nut.
I want the quick-release lever-type that cams down a little. Most of them have the bolt/post/shaft attached to the lever, but I need the nut/threaded/female side in the lever end
I don't know what to call this thing, let alone where I can find it

If you need a #8-36 nut, then how can metric be fine? A M4x.7 might be close, but probably so sloppy you won't get to tighten it much.

Don't know if they all do, but our local ACE hardware has drawers with many different nuts, bolts, etc. I've been surprised at what I was able to find there. And I can buy just one or two instead of several in a package, as at a big box hardware store.

Are you replacing one that came original on the bike? What make year and model bike is it. That might give someone a clue to helping you find one.
