I held a ruler up to the screen and did a comparison. I think once the headset and crown race are installed, all will fit just fine.

Off topic, but can anyone here please tell me where to get some of the display stands used on the rear wheel of this bike? I need a few, and my searching has been frustrating and fruitless.

Top of the line in its day and in wonderful condition. The work has been done with new tires and tubes and brake and gear cables. This has been set up as a leisure rider with wider leather seat and upright bars (convenient ratchet thumb shifters mounter near brake levers). This can also be a serious tour or Randonneur Bike with longer wheel base, 531 steel tubing and beefed up rear stays for weight. Grand Jubilee is a rare model and the mixte ever rarer, there simply are not a lot of these out there.
Nice bike, but I'm distracted by the garage. The Akro bins are great, but what's with the glass enclosures?

It's been for sale for months, and $300 isn't far off from his asking price. If really interested, show up and make an offer. If he wants to sell, he'll listen.

Nashbar Road LP racing serie; new tires; 5'5" to 5'8";very lightweight - $250 (Winchester)

The signature is Arni Nashbar, I think. Also, that's apparently Ishiwata tubing.

And speaking of mail order bike brands, check out this Performance Vitus look-alike, that was made in Japan, and the glue was only guaranteed for TWO YEARS! Yikes!

I don't think I would take anything less than $350 if I was selling that one. Its clean, great shape, Leather spring saddle. The way bikes are selling I'm surprised it hasn't sold already.

If I'd been looking for a high end mixte for a while, I wouldn't let $50 deter me from getting it.

Bag Too

Vintage Road Bike - $55 (Richmond)

Posted 2020-05-23 09:37

"Miyata road bike - I don't see a size anywhere on it, but it is pretty large. I am 6' 1" and I would say it is probably only for those 6' and taller.
- Comes with the attached bag/pouch
- Stored indoors
- I have not ridden it in about 8 years. It rode well prior to being hung up.
- The tires are flat and I can't seem to find a pump, so bring your own if you would like to test it out.

bicycle frame material: other/unknown

bicycle type: road
frame size: unknown
wheel size: other/unknown"

Do they actually ship as well as auction? Didn't know that.

Not just that, but it looks to be the same Nakagawa that makes very high end steel frames. I'd be hitting them up if I were in SoCal.

It's only local pickup on most bikes at this Colorado location it seems. I would be willing to pay for shipping if they offered.

These have just recently come on to my radar as a great combination of tons of 700C tire clearance, widely-spaced canti posts (for modern canti possibilities), and attractive semi-racy/tour-y proportion in the 25" frame size. There was one in Eugene, OR a few weeks ago when I was down south in Portland. Sold pretty quickly but was in great shape and a killer price.

I thought long and hard about this one. The thing is, after reading through all these forums, I can't date the thing. Various features don't add up. More important, I don't think that seat tube water bottle mount should be there, which, I believe, would mean some drilling occurred.

Would anyone in Richmond be willing to facilitate this bike? I'd love it because it has a short top for its size and I'd use it as an all road bike and actually my only bike currently. I'm in Charlotte, NC. I'm posting in the facilitators thread too. Thanks,
