Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Exact saddle came stock on my 2010 Kuota Korsa Lite I bought in July and have been perfectly comfortable on it from day 1. I didn't expect to get such a good fit on my first try but have no thoughts of changing it.

To me, it was an ass hatchet.

It was really comfortable for the first 10 miles. Then it would start to get really irritating, I think it was too narrow for me. I replaced with a Fizik Aliante, which at first was less comfortable due to less padding but after many miles, it wouldn't irritate my sit bones. Try doing a 20-30 miler with it, that's really the best way to tell.

I had a similar model stock on my BMC. It gave me saddle sores. I don't like it.

When i built my first bike i saw a dirt cheap saddle on ebay, a San MArco Ponza. It was really really dirt cheap like £10 (about $15) so I got it thinking if it doesn't work so what, i will sell it. On the first ride, it hurt like hell within the first 5 mins. A sharp piercing pain like a lion had clamped his teeth onto my ass. I carried on riding thinking maybe my ass just needed to settle into the new saddle but it just got more and more unbearable. I ended up riding standing up and cutting short the ride. After the ride, wherever i sat down even on big soft sofas, my ass just screamed blue murder.

I still have it. I couldn't bring myself to sell it on because that is like spread a disease knowingly.

This saddle was like death to my arse. Came stock on my bike. I swapped it out within a month. Guy at the shop said he was surprised I lasted even that long on it!

I had it as well and got saddle sores. The nose of it has a slight bump that rubbed me the wrong way. I tried all sorts of positions but to no avail. I had to make a change.

+1 but it took me 1500 miles to decide it had to go. The only way I could make it work was to tilt it nose down slightly, but that meant I was constantly sliding forward on it. If I set it level it was like getting kicked in the nuts while riding.

I have a different model Selle San Marco, but it appears to be the exact same shape.
This is the best fit to my butt I've found so far.
If any of you haters want to, you send one my way.

I tried it once on my old steel Bianchi and didn't like it at all though it felt fine the first couple of miles. After the 10th mile or so it became really uncomfortable; a coworker of mine has it as it came stock with his Cannondale but he's looking to replace it as well.

That Bianchi is HOT! The saddle however was a total ball and ass scrambler...for me...YMMV.

Mine is from an '07 bike and just says "ponza." It's been fine so far, longest ride was 3 hours. Has anyone that liked this saddle found an alternate they also liked? or should I just pick up a take-off when mine dies? It's been 2 years but has some fraying on one side of the nose.

Stock on my CAAD9.

Infinitely better than my OEM Bontrager Race Saddle on my Trek 1.5
(which I refer to as a piece of plywood with vinyl).

But, I know I'm heading for a Fizik Aliante myself.

The Ponza is "comfortable enough" for me for now.
The Bonty limited how long I could ride.
The Ponza, so far, has not.

If it fits you and you like it, ride it.

Butt bones are subjective.

Got the saddle already.
Tested on the seller's bike...Pretty much comfy....as it's meaty

Will try out a 25KM ride this coming Friday night
