I'm reviewing the report from today's appointment with the witch doctor (the first one I've actually had with him, not a nurse, in more than a year):
Observations:
(1) I didn't think the consultation was particularly lengthy or complicated. I don't know how billing works, but this seems to me to be a justification to upgrade ($$) the coding. He repeated himself a lot and didn't offer a lot of other options.
(2) What was more complicated was the "aspiration" part. Now there's a euphemism. He was talking about how difficult I am as a patient, telling me that my last doctor must have mistakenly omitted me from her "problem patient" list when she left.
Then he just throws out the idea ("I'm brainstorming") of draining my knee and giving me a shot. wut No one ever talked about doing this before. After hee hawing around for a few minutes he said we should try it at least once, "to see what happens."
So I get on the table and he starts rummaging through some drawers, looking at almost-empty bottles. (There was an unnamed assistant sitting there for reasons I never determined, entering stuff into the computer). Finally he assembles his voodoo kit, smears ointments just above my knee, sprays on a freezing/numbing agent, and jams a huge syringe into my leg to extract "fluid."
After milking it out for a minute or so, he manages to suck out about 50 ml of "Mellow Yellow," as he affectionately called it.
After that I got to walk do the hall to the infusion room to have a needle stuck in my arm for over two hours. A delightful afternoon.
Where do I sign up for snake therapy?

On the contrary I have always been told they are narrow.
While at contes my wife asked what size they thought she would need. She mentioned that she wanted to start riding for fun but probably would only be able to go once a week. She got recommended a pinarello for 5,000 because pinarello has more size options than most other companies. I wondered what she would have recommended if she said she wanted to become a serious rider.
Measured my wife last night using the CC.com bike fit calculator. I know it’s not perfect but it popped out she would need a size 46. Domane smallest size is 49. I picked out a Liv Avail for 950.00, this is all hypothetical. Last night she wanted a bike next week she will not be interested.
While at I asked them about a bike fitting for me as well and it’s 300 dollars. Sounds like they use sensors and do the whole nine yards but that’s still a little bit more than what I would like to spend.

My Northwave boots are old, at least 20 years old so I've been looking for new boots. I ordered some Bontrager from my LBS but I couldn't begin to get them on, mainly because I have a high arch/instep. I did buy some Garneau boots from a guy that I know on another board but they're out on a USPS tour of the country at the moment.

In early December, my wife got a big tin of assorted cookies from her employer. That day, my kids decided that they wanted to split one of the cookies for their bedtime treat (their sweets intake is limited, usually to something small before they start getting ready for bed). My son went digging through the layers in the tin and pulled out a chocolate chip cookie, broke it in two and gave one half to his sister. They took bites simultaneously. My son exclaimed in disgust as soon as he realized that he'd grabbed an oatmeal raisin cookie by mistake. My daughter took a bite, started chewing and then silently retched twice. I had some momentary concern, I really thought that she was going to puke, but it was one of the more funny things I'd seen in a while.

Thats a big concern, and I think that was even mentioned when she was describing the fit process. Other than possibly a set back post I can’t imagine having to buy anything.

I love chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies about equally, what’s the problem?
Cheesecake, however, rules all.
Then comes ice cream.
Then comes layer cake.
Then comes Oreos.
Then comes cookies, other.
Then comes pie.

I enjoy a good oatmeal raisin cookie. Mrs. rjones28 will go cookie-less, rather than eat an oatmeal raisin cookie.
