This about the most stunning CL ad I've seen in quite some time, those gears and that chain look brand new.
Agreed. Very tempting, if for nothing other than the investment or to re-list for 50%+ more on the auction site where it'll get far more traction.

1972 Vintage Kuwahara Apollo road bike in City of Hamilton. Note ad up since August
$200 Canadian

"I am selling a high end Vintage road bike. It is a 1972 Apollo racing bike. Apollo is made by Kuwahara for the north American market.

This bike has:

Full Shimano 600 groupo. Araya rims Rims are straight and rubber is good. Bike rides perfect, needs nothng. Other then the tires, this bike is all original. I did however add the rear rack and 2 folding baskets."
Unsure if it really is a 1972 and needs bar tape and hoods at the very least but for $200......

I have two tandems, including a triple, as is...

And unlimited storage is a fantasy. Also, the current GF isn't into cycling at all.

I just drove out there - Steve is prob not picking up the phone because he's busy running around - he's packing all his stuff (including this) into a trailer and heading to florida.

Today is last chance - from what i could see up close, it's pretty minty, with just some decal loss on forks, a couple of scuffs to the paint on the head tube. Chain and freewheels are clean and crisp but dont look like it's the original build (Steve has tons of tools, does his own wrenching)

Brakes include a campy drop-bolt at the rear to make it work. there's some rash on the campy levers, hoods are rotted, but looks like orginal GB stem and bars. Clinchers are mismatched - an old narrow rigida in rear, that newer bronze campagnolo rim up front. there is a spare campy rim to make the rear match. Comes with an old tubular set (nisi rims, i recall) and high flange hubs as well.

BUT BUT BUT... posted size is wrong. that seat tube is 23" c-c. not 24/24.5. argh. Happy to connect anyone with him if you DM me, but probably need to act today if you want it.

Doubt he is, if he's passing through Atlanta, please ping me. I'm happy with an in-transit sale but may try to haggle him down a pinch based on your very thorough description. Something tells me he's probably rolling don I-95, though.

Good chance I'm selling another one of my bikes in the $400-500 range tomorrow morning, so I'll have cash-on-hand and I'm SUPER flexible. I'm within 5 miles of every interstate passing through/around ATL.

Fine specimen. I'd pay $200 for that any day. The condition of that saddle is nice, considering age.

If not for the saddle I'd say this just rolled out of a time machine from 1983. Looks like it was assembled out of the box yesterday!

I think I have four, but don't quote me on that. I may be forgetting one. Same here, no interest in cycling at all, I just take one of the kids.

A Cdale two seat.. no asking price.

That could well be a '71-'72 International in a color that was NOT cataloged.

From the Headbadge site:

Look at the seat stay area and the rear dropouts, very low-end construction and there is not even a derailleur hanger. This is not an International

I think that is an 80s Apollo. Look at the serial number on the side and let me know. Or you can check online. I forgot how to verify exactly, but its either the last two digits or first two that might show. (Xxxx80) or (80xxxx)
But it would look more like 24531280 or something.

Bogus. I've never seen an International with stamped dropouts.
