Bigger tires
Heyas,
Wondering if anyone experienced with installing bigger tires to Hybrid. My bike is Merida Crossway 300 (2016 model) with original size of 42-622. I'm interested to go for like 52-622 size but would it be to big? Tried to measure frame but it's little hard to say as diameter will grow up too, how much, i'm not sure.. Using now my smaller 35-622 winter tires so can't really compare that size.

Hi: one trick you can use is take the tire off and inflate just the tube on the installed wheel to about what you think the new tire's width and diameter will be. Obviously it won't be exact, but the width and diameter both will grow as you inflate it and you may get a pretty good idea of where the potential conflicts will be. Your front tire will likely have plenty of room. The tightest spots are likely in the rear, at the seat stays and the chain stays.

Myeah, soon time to change for summer tyres anyways (about in 2 weeks) so could get some closer measurements by that time. Front wheel shouldn't be a problem. Your suggestion sounds good to try then, thanks for this tip!
