The MTB helmet had a magnetic light attachment built into the helmet. The road helmet was very light. I was told that the new material will bounce back. I don't know if that means the helmet can absorb more than one impact.
It may be hard to see safety as revolutionary , but if it works as it was described, it could save a few more of our lives and reduce injuries.

I just assumed you were kidding about it being a helmet because it's so out of line with "revolutionizing biking". This would be marketing malpractice because even the most revolutionary change in helmet technology is going to seem like such a let-down with that build-up.
Where are you getting this from?

Exactly. There's nothing wrong with my current helmet. It worked well for my ancestors and it's doing a fine job by me.

The biggest mystery to me is whether I am going to actively dislike it or simply not care.

Specialized was announcing something on the radio this morning. Sorry I don’t remember what it was. Maybe just a Shimano undercut? Snooze.

I figured it out. It’s a semi translucent frame with internal LED backlighting that is woven into the frame and it changes color and intensity with the force measured by a power meter. It will also have larger Trek logos that are always backlit day or night, that will be marketed as a visibility feature. The lighting will also ionize the air around the bike creating a bubble of charged air that reduces the drag coefficient by .000000024% thus making the bike more aero and faster. Corresponding ionizing socks that is only available from Trek will increase pedaling cadence by an equall percentage making this a day to remember.
