Oh No! I'm in Deep Trouble with the SSA!

I got a voice mail from a Seattle number saying it is very time sensitive and urgent that they hear back from me before they proceed with the "suspension of my social and assets." Whatever shall I do?!?!

Come on, guys. Suspend "my social and assets." If you are going to run a scam, at least get the terms correct. For the fun of it, I returned the call. Someone with an odd accent answered "Social Security Administration." I responed "Hi. I just wanted to hear what the voice of a scammer sounds like. 'Social and assets?' HAHAHAHA!" He mocked my fake laugh and hung up.

Last week I toyed with the guy who said my company was entitled to a partial refund of an electric company overbilling. In the background I could hear countless people talking, so it must have been a phone bank.

Next time you think your job sucks, imagine working for one of those scams.

Cue Good Place clip that I can't find on Youtube where Eleanor sums up her new job "I get it, you want me to call old people and scam them into buying fake pills. Which desk is mine?"

The phone company gave me an old number for some Hispanic family had before. Jose had bill collectors after him like crazy. I explained this number is for someone else now. After numerous calls I would answer in a thick Spanish accent and say Jose run there going to get you or I would fire back with Spanish cuss words Or I would cooperate then turn belligerent just to mess with them.

I changed my number years ago and kept it unlisted. These scammers usually are cold dialing looking for a phish and don't know you from Adam. And the fake SSA calls I got were a recording and very rapid and angry sounding.

REALLY.

I've gotten the one of similar vein where the IRS has issued a warrant for my arrest, so I'd BETTER CALL NOW!!

I like to imagine the elite tactical arm of the Internal Revenue Service, rappelling down from helicopters to kick in the doors of wanton tax evaders.

The SSA is part of the Shadow Government / Deep State, you don't want to mess with them.

"We are IRS, you owe moneys or we will jails."

We get at least one of those a month from an obvious robot voice. Scared my kids the first time they heard it.

Those calls seem so obviously a scam. I can't think why people fall for them. My favorite is the one that says you are in trouble with "local law department" for "several outstanding issues" and need to call them back right away to avoid going to jail. Cracks me up.

Be sure to have your Walmart gift cards all ready to pay the tax man... it's the only currency they recognize.

I've owed those guys for two years without making any payments. I'm thinking there are bigger fish to fry so I thought I'd see how big I'm not on their priority list. Maybe the day my debt matches or surpasses the amount of one SSA check I'll find out.

One time I got the "Windows" computer scam call. I overacted that I was completely devastated my computer was broken. I had him on the line for a while. My daughter who was listening in to my half of the conversation thought I had gone nuts.

Your electronics interfere with radioastronomy devices on the former and reserved NTSC channel 37?
