bike fit hypothetical...

If I got this Litespeed T5 road, what size would fit? I was thinking medium. Current ride is a Gios Compact Pro 54. ( < second graphic below is from link ).

Fit what? I see two geometry charts, but you haven't provided any info about the rider. What size human are we trying to fit?

Does your current bike fit you perfectly to the Tee or is there something about your current bike you'd like corrected when getting the new bike?

The M size Litespeed T5 has the same top tube length, but since the two charts don't give easy ways to compare, I'm not going to sit and calculate all the nuances. Especially since you don't even say the first bike fit.

Well why not let them custom size and build one for you? It's only about 600 more bucks.

Assuming you are the 175 cm to 180 cm (5'-8" to 5'-11") that Gios shows should ride a size 54 frame, then note that LiteSpeed says you should fit a ML frame which has a 56 cm top tube. I'm 5'-11" and I fit well on my Tarmac which is also a bike with a 56 cm top tube and calls it's frame size 56.

I prefer to go by effective top tube length, so yes, the medium is the correct fit.
