Turkey Day Rides
So where/what are you all riding to work up an appetite?
After considering all the options I know, I'm starting to lean towards the this ride

That's a classic. I've got to do that one next year.
I'm doing the Turkey Day Ride from the California Pedaler in Danville. It's a 30 mile ride but I'm starting from Garry's place in Dublin so it'll be a 48 mile day for me.
There's also the Los Gatos Thanksgiving Day ride (MTB) but I'm not sure it's meant to work up an appetite. https://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=565576

I haven't decided yet, but I'll either do the LKHC or go much earlier with some guys from SJBC.

Don't mince words
We aren't sure yet, but probably doing a Gordon Valley Loop. Time is TBD. All are welcome to join us. About 44 miles from downtown Vacaville, rollers, flat, no serious cllimbs, and places to refill water bottles along the way.

If you're considering doing the low-key event on Hamilton, go to https://www.usacycling.org/forms/waiv...er_release.pdf and fill in/print out a registration form and bring it with you to the start tomorrow. The event is expected to be very popular and having this form filled out and ready to give to the volunteers doing registration will help speed things along. More info at https://lowkey.djconnel.com/2009/week9/

We may be doing the Low Key climb... Or at least going up Mount Hamilton. Last year, I "raced" and my fiancee just rode the hill. Didn't make much of a difference... It's about 65 miles round trip from home.

I gotta cook tomorrow, but Friday I'm taking my newly melanoma-and-suture-free leg out for a spin, assuming it's not raining!

I am planning on reading postings on bikeforums.net!
Seriously, I'm cooking, so no ride tomorrow. Hoping to get a small ride in this weekend.

Mark, were you the guy I saw on the recumbent trike?
I had just passed the observatory coming back from Isabel Creek when I saw a couple guys on their way up from the other side, followed by a red pickup. It seemed absurdly early for them to be LKHC'ers, barely 10am maybe, but the lead guy was wearing a Morgan Stanley jersey...

Good seeing all the folks at LKHC today. I had a suffer-fest brought on by crappy eating the past few days.
Still there's no way I'd rather have spent turkey day.

100% perfect day in the Central Valley; 75 miles with just enough climbing to make it burn and best of all it was 71 degrees

10.5 miles and 2000' of climbing in and around the foothills of Diablo. BBM has a new bike, and it is dirty.

I'm planning to go out tomorrow. So long as the pain of the hernia doesn't get too bad.

Spending the long weekend with the extended family in Monterey. Today, from Fisherman's Wharf out to Pacific Grove on the bike path, then to and along the 17 Mile Drive to Carmel, up to Hwy 1, and back down Munras and back to the hotel at Fisherman's Wharf. Stunning weather, very little traffic, some nice people out on bikes. A short ride (20 miles, 1128 feet of climbing) on a glorious day.
